Ling Ling voted to cut funding on multiple occasions for public health emergencies and to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19. 1
Opposing Funding for Seriously Ill Children
Ling Ling also voted to cut healthcare for children who are seriously ill, and cut prenatal screenings. 2
Opposing Critical Healthcare for Women
Ling Ling voted to cut health care for women, including mammograms. 2
Opposing Lowering Prescription Drug Costs
Ling Ling voted against lowering out of pocket costs for prescription drugs. 4
Opposing Critical School Funding
Ling Ling voted against funding for schools and children who were impacted by COVID-19 and needed our help. 7
Opposing Vital COVID Tax Relief
Ling Ling voted against providing tax relief to employers whose employees are unable to work because of COVID-19. 7
Opposing Nursing Home Oversight
Even though more than half the COVID-19 deaths in California are linked to nursing homes, Ling Ling voted to prevent nursing homes from being investigated for abuse. 2
Opposing Meals for Seniors
Ling Ling voted against restoring funding to the Meals on Wheels program, which thousands of local seniors rely on. 3
Opposing Safe Nurse Staffing Ratios
Ling Ling voted against ensuring adequate nurse staffing ratios in our hospitals. 5
Opposing Job Security for Frontline Workers
Ling Ling voted against providing job security to frontline grocery workers. 6
Opposing COVID-19 Response Funding
Ling Ling voted against public health funding to help Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties respond to COVID-19. 7
